No can do-U.S. citizens must renew their passports at the nearest U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate which would be the US Embassy in Bogotá or mail to passport services in the USA. You may be able to renew at the Barranquilla U S Consular Agency which is is located at Calle 77B No. 57-141, suite 511. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. I THINK the telephone number is (5) 369-0149. In any even the state department is no longer able to extend the expiration date on a passport so it will have to be a new issue..

The passport will be sent to and issued from the United States so you are looking at 10/20 days.
