Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October

Colombiage returns to Riverside Studios with a programme of outstanding music, film and literature celebrating the richness and diversity of Colombian culture today. The programme will include workshops for children.

A series of fun music workshops for children between the ages of 5 and 11.

Acclaimed novelist and award-winning short story writer Juan Carlos Botero will be discussing his inspirations and influences.

Colombiage - Film Single Bill:
The Wandering Shadows (15) La Sombra del Caminante 2.30pm
A poetic and poignant story about the struggles of life and the limits of friendship.

One of Colombia’s most exciting international authors, Evelio Rosero, will be launching the British publication of The Armies.

Colombiage Film Single Bill:
Del Palenque de san Basilio (PG) 4.20pm
This documentary, never before screened in the UK, is an insightful study of the rarely exposed Afro-Colombian culture.

Las Onces with Mario Mendoza 5.00pm
Mario Mendoza, one of the leading lights of Colombia’s post-Garcia Marquez generation will discuss his latest novel, The Invisible Ones as well as Satanás, the film adaptation of his famous novel of the same title.

This fantastic comedy/thriller narrates the story of Nicolas, who has it all until the day he finds his girlfriend about to cheat on him with his boss.

Lucia Pulido's Ensemble & Bomba Esteréo 8.00pm
A double bill of Lucia Pulido, a singer with one of the richest voices on the international Latin American musical scene and Bomba Esteréo, whose music is a fusion of Colombian folk and electronica.
