Hey, i have recently been thinking of moving to colombia. I live in Miami Florida and iam married with 3 beautiful boys. I really dont see a future for me and my family here in the states. Everything is getting to difficult, the cost of living is too much while the income is very low. My husband and I are trying to have a business in miami, but the process is too long and very costly. we cant buy a home because they require a inmense amount of money and other paperwork. I see many struggling families here in Miami just working to pay bills on top of another bill. Its really frustrating. The values here are not how i would like to raise my family. Its basically MONEY OVER EVERYTHING ELSE. My husband is from Barranquilla as well as his whole family, Iam from Honduras (central america or what they call tira flecha :), all my sons were born here in Miami. I would like if someone anyone can direct me on how to buy a business in barranquilla or Santa Marta or Cartagena. Also on real state. I am trying to know as much about the culture and environment before making my decision. I have heard from my husband that is a great place to live, the people are happy no matter the case, the values are very strong. PLEASE HELP.. i appreciate your time and concerns.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Hopefully, he still has his Colombian passport and his cedula. "Credidi pretio parvo emere et magno vendere tibi in animo fuisse!" . 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Peter Miami says on Jun 28, 2005, 11:43: And if you can not make it in MIAMI or the UNITED STAES what make you think you can make it in Colombia. Yes cost of living is a lot lower than in the United States but so is income and a lot lower. Just go to Colombia first and be there for a while before starting a business.
