Relocating with kids

Have had thoughts of movin to Colombia with family.Either to Bogota or Cali. The wife has family there and we have visited every year,so we're very familiar. The question I have is for those who have experienced the move with children. My kids are 5 & 9 ,bilingual but of course more gringo than latino.How have been some of yous experiences with kids?Thanks
