Rejoice Men - Hooters has Arrived

There is a new Hooters opening next to Zona Rosa in Bogota - I can see men licking their chops everywhere!!!

Aside from the eye candy factor - maybe the investment by international companies is a little sign things are looking up in Colombia; we now have:

Hooters,

a new Hard rock in Cartagena (awsome location)

BA negotiating for a return to flights to Colombia

Many new backpackers hostels

and a rumour that the Trump is lookign to pu a signature tower here on the coast!!

Hooters ! .. Didn't care for their food in the States ; Can't imagine it will any different here.. I can't imagine a Gringo desperate enough to hang there with all the beautiful Women just walking around Bogota every day .. Well to each his own ...

I welcome the International Investment here along with employment that comes with it ..

I am desperate enough - I like the wings and generally the service is good where-ever they are.

Waterdawg says on Mar 7, 2008, 10:17:

Aunque no me creas/ si me lo propongo/ lograre olvidarte/ porque a fin de cuentas/ no soy tan cobarde./ Y termino todo una de estas tardes/ no sera dificil buscar algún sitio donde refugiarme/ donde nunca mas vuelvas a encontrarme. (Polo Montañez)

I'm not a Fan of Pricey Tourists traps like Zona Rosa so I'll pass! I'm sure others won't! LOL

I am sure it is not aimed towards gringos jaja. The Zona Rosa Rolo Plastico will love it, I am sure.
I was actually playing with this idea a few years back but I was nowhere close to meet the requirements which are:
If you are interested in one of the countries listed above, our qualifications are as follows:

* Ability to develop 3-5 restaurants within your territory.
* A restaurant location with at least 100,000-150,000 people within a five mile radius.
* $2 million in liquid assets.
* At least 5 years as a multi-unit restaurant owner / operator.

Initial Investment:

* Franchise fee of US$75,000 U.S. per location.
* Option fee of US$15,000 U.S. for each additional restaurant option within a territory.
* The initial investment is estimated to be US$800,000 to US$1,500,000 for each restaurant.

What I have, I do not want to lose, but Where I am I do not want to stay, but those I love, I do not want to leave, but those I know I no longer want to see, but Where I die, I do not want to go;I want to stay where I have never been

Ha Ha...Hooters in Colombia. The food sucks! I would rather eat at Mcdonald's. The last time I went to Hooters was in Miami. My friends and me got thrown out for being drunk and loud :)

morphus says on Mar 7, 2008, 10:51:

If you got some game, you might not need 5000 in Colombia. I like the stockings they wear under their shorts. I would like to smell them after they finish work :)

Been to the Hard Rock in Cartagena, a friend of mine works there. the food sucks just like all the other hard rock's but god hang out spot.

It is in a great location right next to Fidel's. Everybody knows where Fidel's is right?

Smile if you are a thinker!

bickerss says on Mar 7, 2008, 10:56:

They will probably know where Tu Candela is if they dont know Fidels!!!

I can't imagine wasting time in Hooters in Colombia.

You'd miss all the really beautiful talent walking around outside.

Ooooooo. I like nice hooters!

get down, get down. are you afraid of the boogie monster?

bickerss says on Mar 7, 2008, 12:52:

Not likely - colombians will flock to a new international restaurant, including the women.

azunoman says on Mar 7, 2008, 13:11:

Zona Rosa thanks for the new accessible sidewalk on the main street there headed up the big hill.

Please someone keep an eye out on the new Hooters and make sure they put a ramp for access for wheelchairs. If not I will be more than happy to file an ADA complaint here in the states, seems only fair that they accomodate there like here. :)

Hope the put out of business all those places around the quaint little park that have no access (sorry always the advocate), needless to say they didn't get any of my money unless I wadded it up and threw it at them. Thought about throwing something.

I did' did manage to roll into Berlin Bar as the new sidewalk lined up with their door nicely. No German food since the metro finished up.

Ready, Fire, Aim

mranderson says on Mar 7, 2008, 17:12:

I thought the food at hooters was pretty good. With all the beautiful talent walking around outside..well some of it will be working inside. Isn't bogota kinda cold too? So that beautiful talent working inside will have much less clothing.

Hooters? Hard Crock Cafe? Keep 'em. That's like going to a McDonald's in Colombia. Why bother?

mranderson says on Mar 7, 2008, 17:31:

I wouldn't mind a hooters here in medellin. To see these paisas in that outfit would be nice.

I visited Hooters last night despite a rather bad review in El Tiempo. I went with someone who's been to quite a few of them. I've only been to 2 or 3.
I have to give it a .....5 out of 10. There's still a wait at the door to get in, the girls are OK. A few decent ones. The wings were nothing to go nuts over. You can probably get better wings at the Hard Rock or TGIF or anywhere else that has wings. The blue cheese was like water sauce. My buddy said it was the worst Hooters he's been to. That seems to be the consensus, but they're still packing it in. BTW, they have valet parking.

Pableau says on Jun 17, 2008, 22:19:

Al fin si las cosas marchen como marchan habrán sólo un puño de compañías controlando todos los almacenes de cualquier tipo mundialmente. Y la verdad es que en Colombia igual que en muchos paises desafortunadamente las marcas gringas tienen mucho poder. Los colombianos imitan todo a los gringos, hasta las enfermedades les gustan igualito. ¿Eso es la bendita "Burbuja Americana"? ¡Que asco! Hazlo en Bogotá si quieras pero déjanos tranquilo en Cali.
