Only six days left until living for eight months in Colombia ,everything has been sold except the house and furniture...por si caso...even my beloved car !!
After several visits to spend time with this fantastic woman we are going to live to-gether in Bogota then Medellin.
I have met her brother and sisters before but on Octubre 7th there is the meet the parents dinner and it appears a horde of other relatives too.
I have chocolate's and Devon cakes for the madre y some booze for the dad.
But I am a little worried about a cheap laptop I have bought on ebay for the little brother ,it's quite old but looks o/k....will this be seen as cheapstake by the family, the kid is only 10 and I don't want the boy to be embarressed in school ......or should I settle for the good ol union jack pencil cases.
I know this sounds trivial but I think the evening is going to be awkward enough ( her dad dosen't approve )without looking like the mean old scrounger I know I am.........
