Recommendations on where to buy in Cali?

I got my business visa, cedula and bank account in Colombia.

I have looked at some resale homes and they all needed a lot of work so I am leaning towards buying new.

If anybody has any recommendations on where to buy I{d like to hear them.

I have stayed a couple of different areas in Cali. There are nice and relatively safe areas in all four sections of the city north, south, east and west. I can name you some areas but it won’t help you much I believe you have to go there and have some Colombians you know or a real estate agent and show you around. The best would be if you knew some Colombians that could show you around. In the south there are some very nice areas like “El Jardin and some areas around there very close. Keep in mind that close to some good areas there some bad areas so drive around once you see a place, for a couple mile radius.

Good luck,

Real Estate There is a company in Colombia, run by colombians who speak very good english, they are very proffessional and have a lot of resorces. They helped me with my home and an investment property. Give them a try colombianpossibilities at yahoo.com
good luck

Thanks for the input. But I was hoping to get information on specific sub-divisions or buildings going up in Cali.

I must have looked at 25 different complexes already and there are only two that I´m really interested in.

One I´ll buy for sure if it is still available when I finally get to wire the cash here. The rules are odd on sending money to Cali.

Anyway I can assure that the $4000 dollar limit on withdrawals per month is a myth. I pulled out over $30,000 dollars from my checking account with one ATM debt card in about three weeks.

Next go to the Tax section. Note there are National and Regional Taxes.
