Hotels / Accommodation Hi Emiami,

I am a German studying Spanish in Cartagena at the moment. You will not have any problems finding hotel accommodation, prices are the same whether you book here or directly with the hotel from abroad.
The cheapest option is to stay in a backpackers hostel. There is a school that I am attending which also rents out backpacker rooms.
It is situated in the part Getsemani, 5 minute walk from the centre and still part of the walled old city. They cost $8 per night and a cook is preparing breakfast for 500 pesos. She can also wash the laundry for a small fee.

The next best option is a familiy stay. I am living with a family in Manga, the middle class part of town, and I pay $15 per night inclusive of a small breakfast and dinner. The sister of my landlady is renting out a room in her apartment, too.

If you prefer a hotel with airconditioning, I can recommend the hotel Tres Banderas in San Diego (5 minutes from centre and still part of the walled old town.)

the number is + 57 660 0160, cost $45 per night.

If you want to now more about the school, go to www.nuevalengua.com

Good luck!
