Recommendation on Restaurant: Barranquilla

Going back to Barranquilla March 3rd and I want to take my wife to a nice restaurant to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Any suggestions on some good restaurants? Thanks.

Naia If you are looking for a very good upscale restaurant this is my favorite in Barranquilla. NAIA, CR 53 79-127

Restaurant I like the atmosphere of Los Helechos. Don't remember the address, but it must be in the directory.

Agree with bhill L.H. is a very traditional Colombian restaurant with good atmosphere and entertainment; Piso 26 en Hotel Barranquilla Plaza is pretty good, as well, with a fine view of the city at night; food is good, expensive by Colombian standards, but actually not that bad. I dined there in October 2006 with two other people; apps, drinks, main course and dessert for 68 usd. Unfortunately, my favorite restaurant, Enotecha, was closed down a few months ago after it was discovered to be not only to be a fine Italian restaurant, but also a front for laundering drug money generated between Quilla and Rome.

NAIA? Juan- what kind of food at NAIA?

My wife and I like to eat fish, chicken and sometimes beef - asado. Here is the states these places are kind of like barbecue joints found in the South. We also like Thai and Chinese.

juanalejo According to the article in EL HERALDO, only Enoteca in Quilla was implicated, although the restaurants in Cartagena and Bogotá were mentioned.
