Recommendation: Hotel in Bogota

For anyone looking for Bogota accomodations, I just spent a wonderful week in Parque Alameda near Salitre Plaza.

I found the location at www.BogotaColombiaLodging.com. The proprietor's name is Bob Summers, and I honestly have to say I can't remember having had such great customer service. Bob's got two bedrooms, one bedrooms, studios, all the way down to a $20 a night room. Tell him your budget and he can probably makes something work for you. Great security in what is already a great central location, across the street from Salitre Plaza. In case you don't know, Salitre Plaza has everything from restaurants to banks, to exchange dealers... all of the amenities you might expect in North America.

Parque Alameda is near the U.S. Embassy, and again central to everything. Can't give it a strong enough recommendation. If you want to have a good time and not worry about your accomodations, look into Bogota Lodging. I rarely give unsolicited recommendations, but this time I just had to. It was great.

Thanks For The Great Referral!! I've had a few PBH posters here this past month so I'm not sure whom actually make the post, however if it was the last guest with the fiance from Cartagena I just want to say our entire staff enjoyed your visit, you are a true gentleman and your fiance is a true lady, we all wish you the best.

I would also like to add that anyone staying here and is a PBH poster will receive $5.00 off the first nights stay, not much, but our prices are very low and $5.00 is probably more than you will get any place else here in Colombia.

I've been doing business here in Colombia for close to 10 years and living here full time for 4 years, over the years I've had several posters from PBH staying here, using our flowers service, fiance visa service and other services we offer, I never posted because of the fine line about advertizing, THANKS to Peter I can now ad my two pesos. THANKS Peter!!

Best Wishes,
Bob

What no reply from bogota bed and breakfast on this thread?? What no reply from bogota bed and breakfast on this thread? I've been to both places, if they are trying to compete with their tiny litle apartments and with the service Bob (from the U.S.A.) gives they have a long way to go!!

follow up Even though it is easy to get the sites mixed up, there is a big difference between Ingrid's place, which I guess she calls Bogota Bed and Breakfast, and Bob's places, which is called Bogota Colombia Lodging. Don't mistake the two.

Bob at Colombian services! Anybody going to Bogota look for good clean accomodation with a super location should give Bob a call. Bob has great service and does'nt mind helping you out here and there with odds and sods. I mean for free... unlike most Colombians whom constantly have thier hand out for every little service they provide! Bob still understands the customer comes first.

I know first hand that Bob takes his business very seriously and is constantly in his office working and available. He has successfully completed hundreds of fiancee visas. At $300 it is a bargain compared to what others charge. I have watched his flower business being operated like clock work also.

i know nothing about the business in bogota, but i know bob summers personally for several years. he has been a guest in our house here in daytona beach on several occassiions and if he runs his businesses anything like he runs his life and treats others, i assure you his accomodations and flower business will be/are tops.

he is one of the few people i know who is 'flat-out' true to his word and doesn't offer what he doesn't deliver...he always delivers.

many people, in fact, most, think that life and living are done by words without works (when in fact it is just the opposite) Bob Summers is a real gentleman, fun to be with, helpful to a fault, and true to his word. that, friends, in colombia, is rare.

How exactly did you make your reservation? I am wondering how exactly you made your reservation since that web site does not provide me with a secured encrypted web page to submit my request let alone to give away my credit card number for the reservation.

Thanks.
