I've been thinking of buying an apartment in Bogota - also interested in the investor visa (in connection with this). Can anyone recommend a local attorney and/or real estate agent? I am an attorney in the US and normally feel pretty comfortable with this stuff, but it's very difficult to figure out some things in this country! I speak/write Spanish reasonably well so it's not necessary that they speak much English if any.
Also it's impossible to get a bank account without a cedula right?? And you need a visa to get that? I'm wondering what's the best way to get money into the country when you find a place to buy.
Thanks for any help/advice.
