Hello: I was recently deported from the US and was wondering if anyone knew of any "real" online jobs; working on the Internet. I have setup a virtual office (fully equipped) in my apartment. I have excellent office/administrative/clerical skills and can do online research. I know there are alot of scams out there. I was hoping someone here had a legit lead I could look into to get started. I would be ever grateful for any info. Thank you for your prompt response.

Mi Patria says on Jun 24, 2008, 17:18: davidm3: I am handicapped, in a wheelchair (I only have one leg). I was gone 30 years from Colombia and feel like a fish out of water. My Spanish is bad and I have to start over and need to work soon. I have no funds, family or friends to help me out with my present situation. Everything I know is US-related...I was imprisoned before my deportation and lost everything I had. I am sure you are right, I probably could find something out there, but right now I am not equipped, mentally or physically nor am I adjusted to my surroudings. I don't see it feasible for me to just go out there and find a job to sustain me with rent, food, with whatever is necessary. I am sharing an apartment with someone now and they are letting me live here rent-free until I can provide some kind of income for myself. But I am sure they can only do that for me for only a fair amount of time. Thank you for your interest.

Philly says on Jun 24, 2008, 20:10: Internet jobs will be really tough. Whenever you apply the first thing they check is your IP address. It always comes up, not available for outside of the US. I am a US citizen and I can not get an internet job, so i think your chances are slim to none. However, the suggestion about teaching English is a good one. People pay me just for conversation classes. Good Luck

rhydewithdis says on Jun 25, 2008, 02:52: Sorry to hear about your though break. One option for you, depending on the extent of your handicaps would be to drive a taxi. You will make the normal money driving a taxi, but with your English skills, you could market yourself to non English speakers offering things like tours, airport pick-ups, drop-offs, etc. They said I couldn't play football I was too small / They say I couldn't play basketball I wasn't tall / They say I couldn't play baseball at all / And now everyday of my life I ball. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

jinksmiester says on Jun 25, 2008, 09:07: If you had some contacts in the u.s or perhaps canada you could set up an import/export business.ive done that here in canada and have my wifes family shoping and sending stuff from colombia to here where we sell it....we have a few stores selling fique handbags/handmade colombian jewelry/hats etc.. the handbags and jewelry are popular as there is nothing like it in the stores here.We now have suppliers in colombia that will make what we want when we phone them up.Plenty of room on the mark ups to make a buck even with shiping and duty.My wife sets up and sells at trade shows/rodeos etc.Every two mil col spent brings us 5 or 6 mil col when we sell here. Use fed ex for shiping at present. This is working all right for us as we are making money here and also sending money to colombia for the work and shoping etc there so it helps on that end as well.
