K-1 or K-3 Visa? if for K-1, your benificiary may receive packet 3 from the embassy around the 20th of May.

since that date is considered past the cut off date for June interviews, I would guess you are looking at a July interview date at the earliest.

the way I see it, once you have a NOA2 date, you are 3 months from an interview date.

I hope you are looking at the visajourney.com site for info also

Assuming you are doing K1, here is what you need to do. When you get notice that the NVC sent the package to Bogota, instead of waiting around for the consulate to send the package 3 to your fiancee, already have the paperwork required filled out. Then send or fax it to your fiancee to sign, and then have him/her fax AND send the completed paperwork to the consulate. This will cut a month off your wait. If the consulate receives the completed package 3 paperwork before the 20th of any given month, it almost guarantees a next month interview date. If you accomplish this, be prepared to move fast. And, to find out the interview date, just Google search interview dates US visa bogota. Or something like that. I don't have the actual link anymore. But I found it fairly easy. The forms required (package 3) should be in visajourney.com.

You will be getting an Agent of Choice form from the National Visa Center in New Hampshire. Follow the advice on visajourney as there are ways to speed up the process by getting some of the forms off the internet.

Laloca... ... I recommend going to visajourney.com, the site is very helpful with whatever questions you may have.

I'm also going for the CR-1 for my husband and our case was just assigned by NVC. The choice of agent can either be you or your spouse, best thing would be you since NVC will mail everything to the choice of agent and you know how bad Colombian mail can be.

Great!!! thanks that is helpful, well Im still waiting to hear from the NVC. I won't be taking any chances this time, this week I will sending a letter to find the status because it took us 10 months to get the NOA 2, this time I won't be patient with USCIS. Thanks Mono...

It may take a month after you get your NOA2 before you hear something from the NVC.
