I played with the dates (used the dates flexible tab) and could not get any of the flights before Christmas. I was going out of LAX. Got some right after.

Thats right man...I bought my Christmas ticket in June for 647.00 for the following dates 12/21-01/02 to MIA-MDE...those are hard dates..I am already passed Christmas.. I cannot believe the prices for January and February decided to use miles because of the prices for January and February...

I checked the PHL - MIA and MIA - CLO runs planes. They just have 4 or 5 seats left in both planes on the cheapest days around Christmas. The prices are near $1000 with taxes added.
