RCN News in English

Hi everyone. We have changed our address to www.rcnnews.tv. Im happy to say we are up to about 2500 hits a day from 67 different countries. For a start up project, I think we are doing great and really appreciate the support of everyone here on Poorbuthappy. In an effort to spread the word, we added a facebook fan site. We also started a segment called "My Colombia," where people send in their digital photos and videos. We've had a couple of photos from poorbuthappy members. Please keep the coming. Also, some of the people in Medellin have been linking to our site. We publically thanked some of them on the Friday AM newscast. If you link us, let me know and we'll give you a plug at the end of the show. Again, I really appreciate your help on spreading the word about our english language news!

I dont have a lot of time to post of poorbuthappy, but always welcome your emails at bandrews at canalrcn.com with ideas on how we can make the program better.

Thanks and have a great weekend!

Brian

Thank you very much Brianadrews.
Colombia needs more professional journalists as you because Colombia has much more positive stuff than what the biased media has been able to disseminate in the past.

Hasta pronto,

Monpirri

My favorite reporter from Colombia was a fellow named RAUL BENOIT who reported for Univision en espanol. I think he reports from Los Angeles now but not often. Supposedly the NARCOS tried to kill him in Cali or something so I guess he got a VISA to the USA?

He's still with Univisión and doing special reports for "Aquí y Ahora". I agree, he's a very good reporter.

Dang, I just watched the broadcast and I have to say it felt weird, kind of like a Twilight Zone moment. I enjoyed it though, especially watching Samuel Moreno "apretando nalga" while he tried to speak English. XD

Does anyone else know any other great Colombian or Colombian American journalists?

Camilo Montoya... bad joke. LOL.

Cristina Londoño reports for Telemundo but I have to admit that her voice gets on my nerves. Good reporter though.

I love the idea of voting for the best resturant in Bogotá.

Another idea could be interviews with famous actors or singers who have contributed to Colombia's culture.
