Rave scene in Colombia??

Does this exist or not?
Last year I know that Carl Cox did a tour and was in Bogota and Cali, unfortunately I dodn't see him as my boyfriend said the club he was playing in Cali was dodgy....however, I just took this to be normal as most parties aren't exactly held in the most normal of places.

So has anyone here gone to one, or any sort of a large dance party? How did you find it? What sort of people do they attract? I love dancing to other music too and loved going to Juanchito(spelling) town and I love my 'latin grooves'...but I think I have raving in my blood!

Oh yeah, preferably I like NRG, acid, breaks, a bit of drum n bass, a bit of trance and some psychadelic too!

Ta, Em :)

Raves... Sure there´s a growing scene, last week DJ Tiesto was in Cali, Bogota and Medellin, the raves were great, as usual outside the city under large tents. Thousands of people attended each one. He´ll be back in January in Cartagena.

Next weekend Boy George and a bunch of foreign and colombian DJs will start a tour in Medellin and then Bogota and maybe Cali.

This weekend there was a rave in Bogota with a famous british DJ but I just don´t remember his name.

So, yeah, there are big raves in Colombia.

how about in cartagena, anything besides the normal discos..., i am a little burnt out on the cartegena trendy scene, want something with more soul than an average dj playing all the pop music.

Ive been to a few Hi my BF´s step brother is a DJ Johnny Housin he has a web site that is his name all one word .com I think that would give you some dates and addresses. He plays with the likes of "Cassius" and "DJ Colette", "Arman Van Helden" I went to two big partys just out of Bogota, giant tents and lots of people, good sound, good fun! Watch out for the hookers though they usually have huge boobs and huge implant inhanced bums and they are brought in by promoters to add spice to the parties...they are a minority but they are there.
I liked the second one I went to it was a tropical theme they had fires everywhere and you could dance in side or outside, it was excellent. Also bring a jaket it gets sooooo cold in Bogota and your really happy you have one.

Oh yeah!!! I went to the Tiesto concert in Bogota. It was great. Full of alcohol, marihuana, coke, ecstasy, and other pills, however. The other thing that sucks is that the booze is really expensive inside. Like $6000 for a Smirnoff Ice and $5000 for water. Me and my friend downed a liter Tetra Pak liter of Santa Fe before going in. It was really good.
