Did anyone happen to follow the storey of the taking down of the brothers Victor Manuel and Miguel Angel MejÃa Múnera better known as los Mellizos? Hollywood only needs to look to real life goings on in Colombia to find it’s best blockbuster action movie material. So the police decided to go after los Mellizos the most dangerous narcotraficking organization to date. A captured henchman gave up the coordinates of Victor Manuel´s secret rural hideout and informed that Victor made a habit of sleeping in a hammock in the woods and getting up at two or three AM to avoid any possibility of a surprise dawn attack. Ok so the police find all this out and decide the best approach is to send in a ten man “Goes" team, that´s Grupo de Operaciones Especiales, They fly to point within eleven kilometers of the target and drop from a helicopter. Due to difficult terrain and the fact that that they can move only by night to avoid any possibility of being spotted by security rings of informants it takes them six days to reach Victor’s remote lair. Upon reaching the encampment they call out for Victor to surrender and are met with gunfire where upon the two sharpshooters in the Goes team put down Victor and three bodyguards. Within seventy two hours police stop a tractor trailer on it’s way from Magdalena to Honda. The nervous driver asks to keep the motor running claiming a weak battery. Pressured by the police he gives up and opens a secret compartment that is only supplied with air when the motor’s running and out steps Miguel Angel. His first words to the arresting captain: “You won."
