Bickerss, sorry to bring you bad news, but:

I have been back in Medellin for over a month now, and I think there was only 2 days when it did not rain.

It has not rained yet today, but I am willing to bet it will.

It seems that at about 3pm, dark ugly clouds come from over the mountians above Envigado and El Poblado, and it either rains for an hour, or all night.

Although the locals complain it is cold (anything but 27C is too hot or too cold here) I am sure it is much warmer than Bogotá.

Daver is right.
Medellín is not the City of Eternal Spring anymore.
Now we have two rainy seasons throughout the year the first one from March to May and the second one from August to November.
I`m sorry guys.

paisa29,

Well for me it is the City of Eternal Spring! Where I grew up, Spring was always raining. The warm moist air of the Gulf of Mexico would do battle with the receding arctic air masses, and, the laws of physics being what they are, it would rain every freaking day!

April showers bring May flowers....

Damm - Medellin is also raining every day!!! That ruins my plans, this rain is driving me crazy. Lucky I had semena santa in Cartagena which had perfect weather every day.

Rain is something I miss about Colombia (Though why I don't know seeing as I live in London!). But probably if I lived there everyday it would get to me. Nostalgia has that was of coating memories and quietly filing away the annoyingness.

The main difference I find between rain in Colombia and rain in London, is that the latter is just so damn miserable, whereas with the former everything eventually just evaporates and leaves everything sticky and slumbering.
