Hey folks. I'm an Amateur Radio operator from the US. I'm interested in getting permission to operate from Colombia. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can go, or who to talk to about getting a temporary license. What costs are or anything else related. I hope to be able to take a radio with me on a future trip so that I may be able to keep in touch with friends back home. So far my searching have not come up with any results.
Thanks a bunch
Daniel

Dan says on May 17, 2004, 08:30: Another question I'm also thinking I might need a few papers translated into Spanish and notarised. Does anyone know of a Notary in Bogota that may be able to do both? God Bless America! |

Dan says on May 17, 2004, 09:23: yeah, Ham radio I travel to Colombia frequently for work. I'm usually not around a city like Bogota for very long at a time and would like to take my radio for something to do when I'm in country. Over all, I think if the final outcome is positive, it'll all be worth it. God Bless America! |
