At the bottom of page 2 it asks for the signature of the applicant. My question...is it neessary for me to send it to my wife to sign or can I do it since it does not require a notary? If so, will a faxed copy of her signature be sufficient? For a previous document that required my wife's signature the NVC said they just need a signature....I signed for my wife no problem.

Dan says on Sep 23, 2005, 11:23: most of what I see says that they want all original signatures, no copies. I had to send a copy to my wife for her to sign. I just really hate how much it cost to send just a letter size fedex/ups to colombia. God Bless America! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Crazy4Cali says on Sep 23, 2005, 11:58: this may be cheating, or not... but if you have a scanned image of her signature, you can merge that onto the document using a word processing program and fax it from there. (and print a copy if you want an "original"). That's how I "sign" documents I fax from my computer (where it's all "electronic" paper).
