Questions

Ring size. I know a general rule of thumb is a mans ring size is usually about the same as his shoe size. Never checked to see if same for a woman. If any of you know for sure let me know please. I want to find a way of getting her ring size without asking her and clueing her in to the suprise engagement ring. Next question. I know this is kind of old fashioned but once was a tradition here in the states to ask the father or mother for the hand of their daughter in marriage. anything like that in Colombia? My GF is 26 but still lives with her mother, and want to follow through with their tradition if possible. Again, can't ask GF for same reason as above. Next, is it typical of colombians to not have much of a sense of time? I made the joke once about my GF not having a sense of time and was told totally typical. Example, many many times now she will tell me she will be on the net (we visit each other via webcam) at a certain time and then she shows up hours later. Also I have found lots of info on Cartagena but nothing specific like how many miles across it is. just curious. On the maps and photos it doesnt seem all that big, but always seems to be hard for her to get around from what she tells me. Anyhow thanks in advance for any info. After the long delay I am finally getting to get down there. Leave OCT 4 for 3 weeks. I'll post a couple pics when I get back.

I was going to reccomend swiping a ring of hrs to have sized or asking a close friend of hers to help you with your secret mission, but after reading on it seems that you aren't physically near her(have you ever met her in person?)so i guess that is out of the question.and i guess if this is a long distance thing that you probably don't know any of her friends or familyto help you(a sign?).
anyway,if your going ahead with it definately ask the mother. IMHO ,
many american girls wouldn't like it because they're not anyone's property to be given away, but it is a good sign of respect for you to show her mom(especially if she doesn't know you very well

Yeah, heard it years back, and its a general rule of thumb, not always accurate. but I wear 9 1/2W shoes and size 10 ring, my dad 13 / 13 Brother 9 / 9. so what can I say.
If anyone has seen the movie Boondock Saints, You'll know where the saying Rule of Thumb came from too.
And no, haven't met in person other then Web Cam. Been going at that for a good 2 months now.
