Question on property prices..

Hi on the off chance any residents or dear Colombians might know: are there studios in Bogotá? How much would a studio, a very small or small appartment, cost there in a nice, safe area, where local people would live and preferably walk around later in the evening. Could one buy anything for 20, 30 or 40,000 dollars? I´m just asking.. can foreigners buy there without too many problems?

thanks in advance for any information on this.

You Can Buy But, you will need help in transferring the money and making sure the "i's"
are dotted and the "t's"crossed in the paper work. For say $40.000 USD ($86.000.000 C0P) you should be able to find a good one bedroom apartments in say the Chapinero area. You really do not find many studio type apartments in Colombia so I would go for a one bed room. You should find something about say 500/600 sq ft (say about 45/50 sq mtrs)

Generally speaking an estrato 4 area and resonably safe. C close to the Trans-mileno for transportation. The further south you go the less expensive.

FYI, most of the people living in Bogotá ARE "local" people.
