talk with your driver. start at a $150.00 for his car. but be happily willing to pay $250.00 if he's running around for 5 of you. you and who else, dan?

To move 5 paid Bomberos Americanos from the airport to Medellin, I assume your going to need a sizable mobile being that you have kitchens, beds and cable TV where you work and your larger than your average bear..jaja..just kidding..not!
I think if you want to travel all together your going to be pressed to find something that big handy at the airport. You can call the guy that Tejas turned me onto and I have been using.for the past 4 or 5 months. He has an SUV, however, transportation is his business so he may be able to get something larger and work you a deal. Guy is very knowledgeable and trust-worthy chap !
PM me if you want cuz I don't have his card handy or go to Tejas' profile and he has got his info listed there. BTW...DO NOT mention TEJAS to him..just my name..apparently Tejas tried to rob him a few months ago somewhere near where the president lives....just short of llano..

it is about 200.000 colombian pesos. But you should not think for a second you will get a disscount fair because you are a bombero from USA! the cost of hiring a van is the same for every one unless you know the driver. hehehe.

How ever, you can talk to the van driver if you can get a discount for being a USA bombero.

This is just spanglish, please do not correct me

just take the colectivo, must be around 15k per person. Youd have to catch a cab from downtown medellin to poblado but that should be around 15 to 20k for two taxis = 95k pesos for all. That is as cheap as it gets.

ah no I thought you needed someone to drop you off. There are colectivos at the airport but not to be hired, you can ride with everyone else, which is actually kinda fun. I will check my email.

NY...no collectivos in the airport. catch a cab in the airport to the estadero encanto which isr next to the hotel santiago de armas out front by the gloiretta, have a beer and get your colectivo there.

I took a colectivo from the airport in about 2004 sometime. When did they stop running from the airport?

If you arrive before 8:00 pm, take the minibus. It costs 6K each and is much roomier for us big guys than taxis or vans. The last time I came into town there was a traffic jam because of an accident. The trip took about 1.5 hours rather than 45 minutes. I would have died in one of those little cabs.
