Do all documents (i.e. divorce papers, birth certificate, certificate of singleness etc.) have to be issued within a 90 day timeframe required by the Colombian authorities for marriage in Colombia?
Or is it just the birth certificate? TIA

All documents should be recently issued and notorized. Divorce Papers, Birth certificates, and Cert. of Singleness need to be appostiled. All documents will have to be translated by a Colombian Government Recognized Translator, and translated into spanish.

That has to be in the notary's office a week or two before the ceremony. With a lot of the documents, the Certificado de Soltero, I had them prepared in Spanish and had the signers sign the Spanish version so I didn't have to get it translated. utopiacowboy says on Aug 1, 2005, 14:20: You don't need a marriage visa to get married in Colombia. The Power of Attorney is only necessary if you can't sign the necessary papers at the notaria's office ahead of time. There are certain papers that have to be filed 2 weeks in advance. Billy says on Aug 2, 2005, 15:59: Marriage Visa Not Required? What did you need to get married in Colombia without the marriage visa. I read on the embassy site that you needed one and could not get married on a tourist visa? Thanks.
