Question about K-1 Visa

Hi. I will be sending in the application for the K-1 visa very soon so that my girlfriend and I can get married in the U.S. Does any one have any advice that they could give me about ANYTHING related to the K-1 process? I would appreciate ANY help that could be offered. My e-mail address is: benjaminzdavis at hotmail.com. Thanks a lot.

Yep. VJ is the place to go. That site really saved me a few thousand dollars in unnecessary lawyer fees.

get plenty of copies of things like birth certificates, any former divorce records, tax records.

you will need these extra copies later in the adjustment of status application after you guys get married.

and yes, go to visajourney.com and read the guidelines.

and make copies of everything you send to the USCIS.

make copies of all letters they send you.

I'm with Chester. Bring plenty of copies from Colombia along with translations because translating them here in the States will cost you a lot more.
