Does anyone know through self experience or fact what the restrictions are on the following:
I previously sponsored a K-1 out of Colombia and, as soon as she received her resident card after getting married here (got it QUICK through Infopass), she moved out to be with her sister in Houston (we lived in Dallas). I called the visa fraud line on her and turned in her A# with an explanation. I then received a divorce quickly, finalized on 8/9/05, because she did not respond to the divorce action or showup for the proceedings.
I have since (after the divorce) began returning to Colombia and met a wonderful woman who I wish I had save my "Visa Virginity" for...but too late. We are considering getting married in Colombia 9/06, over one year after my divorce and 1.5 years after original separation, then applying for the K-3.
MY QUESTION is: Anyone know how detrimental it looks to have sponsored someone recently, who is still under the 10-year rule of support because of the Affidavit and ALSO is still within (although at the very end) of her 2-year waiting period for the permanant status filing.

I used an attorney because i thought this could be a problem but from what i understand as long as you are legally free to marry and meet the income levels if your ex were to fall upon upon you for support you should be fine .
