Bogota has some pretty bits - as the photos testify.

But is it a "beautiful city", on the whole?

The vast majority of the city is dull and ugly (although this could be said of a lot of cities!). The near-constant cloudiness makes colours appear flat, and most of the buildings are cheap late 20th century nightmares.

Why no pictures of the calle 170 overpass with the autopista? Or of the Carulla on 85#15? Or of the invasiones close to Usaquen?

Don't get me wrong - aesthetically speaking, Bogota isn't bad. But Barcelona it ain't.

I've seen the mansions, and a few of the estrato 10 houses in Chia too! Some of them are very nice indeed.
