Se hundió en el Congreso proyecto para prohibir consumo de dosis mínima de droga en sitios públicos
Pese a que la plenaria del Senado fue citada hoy para discutir el tema, luego de que anoche no hubo quórum, los congresistas tampoco atendieron la convocatoria del Gobierno.
A causa del nuevo aplazamiento, el proyecto ya no alcanzará a ser aprobado en esta legislatura.
La iniciativa, que proponía establecer penas no privativas de la libertad, había sido aprobado en la Comisión Primera del Senado con muchas dificultades porque no generaba consenso.
Los mismos uribistas se dividieron frente al tema y mientras unos la defendían, congresistas de la coalición de Gobierno como Gina Parody y Armando Benedetti se oponían porque atentaba contra la libertad del individuo.
El martes, el viceministro del Interior, Guillermo Reyes, reconoció que no había interés en el Congreso para aprobar ese proyecto. Y tenía toda la razón, estuvo tres días en el orden del día y no pudo ser aprobado.
"El problema es que la gente no quería votar ese proyecto y por eso preferían salirse del recinto que quedar en evidencia", dijo un senador conservador.
