This should have cost a total of 30 million, but we only paid about 4 million, and so far are getting about 9 million from donations, so technically it made money without being sold yet. It is called "Daniel se la Juega". Anyone looking to produce something here should get in contact with me at: rapprichard at gmail.com. Our next shoot is in February and will be my project (I just helped out on this one with equipment and by consulting).

Our firefight (scary having these guys shoot blanks at you:

The story is about a young guerilla who turns himself in, so we walked him around the streets of Calarcá to get reaction shots, and as you can see there was a bit of a reaction:

Part of our crew. We ate dinner and came back when it was pitch black. Had no idea the place was carpteted by ants, almost everyone was bit up really bad, but we got the scene done with almost no crew (who were running away)

One of the explosions (they didn't tell me about the first one, I might want to know about little details like that before I get thrown backward)

REal soldiers helping out with real guns shooting blanks at us:

Another real soldier, just a kid:

We have a really solid crew here with about 4 more shorts to produce. Meanwhile I'm working on several full length scripts to be shot here. If anyone is interested in helping out - film, investing, actors, whatever, please contact me rapprichard at gmail.com

bufalo says on Jan 28, 2007, 07:20: Thanks Monpirri1. It's a story about a kid in the guerilla army that turns himself in. Everyone with the exception of the director found the script to be boring and the story more like a commercial. But then again, the director's experience has only been commercials. He does want to do a "Hollywood" type of movie down here. Meaning big-budget, good story, but with a positive message. This short is called "Daniel sela Juega". Mario says on Jan 30, 2007, 20:06: "Too bad it was all about a Catholic event" More of the same from you? I could care less about Catholicism or any other organized religion but you really seem to focus on the mundane, to say the least - and in a totally anal-retentive way. Why all the barbs in just about every commentary; is that just to see who you can offend in a (not so) passive-aggressive approach? Why is that necessary? Boredom? And what's wrong with Hollywood productions? Shall I make a list of all-time classics which were produced there for you? There are hundreds and hundreds over an 80+ year period, from Fay Wray to James Cagney to Pacino and beyond. OMG........
