Public transp. shutdown There was a major shutdown of the public transport here in medellin, due to threats received by the bus drivers. It's related to the latest developments on the peace negociation with the AUC, but it was controlled inmediatelly. Today everything went back to normal early in the morning, and security around the specific areas where this happened was reinforced... it wasn't a big deal.

La Ceja and the FARC? I thought that area was controlled by the AUC.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

I'd guess That if someone is making big public threats in Medellin, my guess is that it's related to the announcement by the Uribe administration that they're going to arrest Don Berna (Medellin AUC big cheese) for suspicion of murder....
