Hi again I have a question looking for help...I asked and received help in obtaining a bank account at Banco De Occidente, and was able to wire transfer money from my bank in the states.
We're planning a civil marriage next month, then a more formal one with the church in late august. We shopped around to lease a apartment for 6 months while we look for something more permanent to buy.Now the question apparantly we need to have a co-signer to rent. We werent married when we were looking and filled out the application, so I just look like a non-resident to them (I guess), so we just tried it in her name and it came up needing to be co-signed. After we get married and I have a Colombian family will they still ask for the co-signer? If I pay for the full 6 months up front will they ask? My bank account at the time didnt look to large because the bank wouldnt let be deposit 7K until I got home. I have a letter from my company saying I work in Ecuador. It would be nice to get married and after the honeymoon go to our own home instead of her parents house or hotel, thats the reason to try and take care of this in advance of the marriage.Plus we'll need to buy everything from Refridgerator to beds to couches etc.
Thanks for the help in advance
