Just curious, but why is the gender important to you? Are male elementary teachers in Colombia frowned upon? Not that I'm interested in the job personally, but as a male teacher, I wonder at times if my gender bothers some of my students' parents. And if so, the reasons why would probably disturb me. Anyway, good luck finding a teacher.

Well, I'll just let it go I suppose. I guess the way you hear some people think all Colombians thought of as drug dealers, I have to accept some people will think of all male teachers are child molestors. Anyway, maybe what she really wants is a nanny more than a teacher. I mean, for a 4 year old? It sounds like she wants someone she can leave the child with. If she were to be in the house while the teacher was there, it shouldn't make any difference.

But hey, when you're the one paying the $$ I suppose that you can ask for whatever you want. She has her reasons. And all of us have our biases.

Hello.

It is not important whether the teacher or private tutor is male or female. We are paying USD 15/hour for a two to four hour session per day stating this summer. Our goal is to give our son K-4 curriculum english native exposure. Please contact us to vickycas at vc-soft.com
