Prepaid or not?

Hi All,

I'm wanting to go to cartagena, san andres, and santa marta.

I was wondering if it would be cheaper to buy flights and accomodation by myself? (i'm not currently in colombia).
Or through all the standard packages available???

Advice would be appreciated!

Depends on the time of year in Ctg and Santa Marta, non peak seasons you can get a better deal on the ground.

In Ctg you also need to check that there is not a very large convention on.

If it is your first visit, I would book something up for 1 or 2 days then look around for a better deal, even negotiating a better deal where you are staying after you know the competions prices.
