In a moment of madness and totally in love with my (now) Colombian husband I had a tattoo done in Medellin. It is the reverse of one of the peso coins (the 1 peso coin I think). The coin gave me the idea for the design but at that time I also had a book of Pre Colombian designs which I lost somewhere along the way. I am now thinking of getting another so can anyone recommend a book or website where I can view designs. Have just spent ages on line trying to find some but can't. Or if anyone has any links or photos they can send me? Thanks

asmith says on Jul 20, 2006, 22:59: tattoos Be advised:Tattoos last longer than most relationships. They are difficult to remove and removal is much more expensive. Tattoos identify you as a person. If you are ever taken as a prisoner, you will be the first to be tortured, never forget that, it is a fact. so, do you really want to be cool and macho. If, you survive torture your once beautiful tat is now a piece of red meat on YOUR body, matter of fact, your whole body is now red hamburger. Oh yea, ha, ha, real cool????? Do you really think that the dude who defaces your once beautiful body is interested in clean needles?Or just your money. A tattoo will limit your opportunities, think long and hard before you do a stupid act. Now, stand by and watch the flack I get from this post, matter of fact, instead of flack, why dont you persuade me to get a few, I really would like see your intelligent remarks. Have a wonderful life with a fantastic latin woman.

It doesn't matter anyway as I see you just want to start an argument - if you're bored - why not? I just wanted someone to point me in the direction of some Pre Colombian designs that's all. By the way my tattoo is tiny, and I am a respected College lecturer (there I go - rising to your bait!!)

larumberainglesa says on Jul 21, 2006, 07:15: Yes, think I will have to just do as I did before and look at things around me (which is why my tattoo comes from one of the coins). Will look out for your design when I am there! A nice reminder isn't it?
