Definately Colombiana though I do have a soft spot for Premio Rojo yummy and also when we were younger there used to be one called Feskola, similar to Colombiana but I don't know if that one is still around.

Colombiana of Course... ...plus when mixed with cerveza you get "REFAJO", very popular in asados colombianos.

My favorite is Manzana Postobon, I also... like Colombiana and Premio Rojo and also another one you don't see much anymore, at least not in Cali, Kola Romana.

I might be stopping in Cartagena this year... so I will have to keep an eye out for Kola Roman. Kat any idea why they don't have it in the interior that much anymore?

Natural fruit drinks Both are good, but I still prefer the natural fruit drinks in Colombia.

Postobon for me. Colombiana is ok, but I love Postobon. I never saw Postobon in a can though. We always bought it in a 2.5 litre bottles, or were served the returnable glass bottles with straw in the restaurants.

I don't know Billy, but i know that the drink was invented on the coast of Colombia by the Roman family, that is why is so popular in there and the daughter of the guy that invented the drink, Teresita Román de Zurek is a famous Colombian writer and chef and she used Kola Roman in lots of her recipes.

I don't like that postobon stuff yuckkk. But I didn't grow up with it and I don't really like soda much.

I'll try that Colombiana next time I am in Colombia, which might be very soon.

But if you want to try the best soda in the world (IMHO) try to get some San Pellegrino Limonata (Italy). Should be easy to find in NYC, not sure about anywhere else. Best drink I've ever had for a hot summer day. Well, next to a gin and tonic of course.

I'm partial to Postobon. Kola Roman and Colombiana are okay.

Gin and tonic is better. Nothing beats a Colombian fruit batido.

I used to drink the little cups of fruit juice they sell on street corners, salpicon I think it's called?

Then one time I got REALLY sick after drinking it, and I figured maybe they mixed some bad water in it, so I'm afraid to drink that anymore.

An argentine licuado is pretty good, is that the same as a batido? Do you get to choose to mix it with leche or agua (or the best of all, with orange juice)?

My gosh, with all the unemployment, I think the govt should have some make-work programs to clean up the streets. Is it like that every day or was the photo taken after a parade or street fair?

Manzana I prefer Manzana.

Also, just to confuse things for you Postoban S.A. makes both Postobon Manzana and Colombiana.

Argentine licuados with agua o leche are similar to batidos, but don't come in the huge variety of flavours that exist in Colombia. Lulo, zapote, curuba (banana passion fruit), mamoncillo, uchuva (gooseberry), feijoa, sweet granadilla, mamey, guama, tree tomato, borojó, arasá (in the amazon region), pomarrosa, anón, chirimoya, guanábana, maracuyá (passion fruit), chontaduro, mora (blackberry), cocota, carambolo, coroso, guayabamanzana (hybrid between guava and apple), níspero and pitahaya... a nice change from orange, apple or lemon.
