possible visit to Colombia

Hi all
I may be traveliing to San Andres in the Spring/Summer and thus thought about extending my time a bit and taking the long journey over to the mainland...tips? Places to see? Safety issues?
I would probably stay for a few weeks and am thinking Cartagena and Bogota and surrounding areas?

If you are a budget traveller/backpacker and going solo then give Platypus hostel in Bogota a try. Easy to meet up with lots of other folks and get solid info on places to see, how to get there etc, and meet travelling companions for the day.

Platypus is in the historic district right at downtown if you stay there try and get a few folks to share a cab ride with you out to Zone Rosa for the late afternoon and evening. Same city, totally different.

Both Satena and Avianca have flights from san andres to Bogota.

San Andes to Cartagena try Aerorepublica.
