Thanks for the correction, it's that all you have to say about why Colombian producers or the TV stations are afraid to export their successful series to the United States of America?

Is not that they are afraid to export, it is the market if they do not see a mexican actor/actress they will not buy it, Univision, Galavision, Telefutura are mexican owned and Telemundo is co-producing telenovelas in Colombia with RTI again with mexican actors.

Hi IETK, you are right at lest 50% right.
Are you familiar with Colombian TV productions? They are very successful in every country where the audience loves creativity and by the way, there is nothing wrong with Colombian actors or actress per se.

I do not care or watch telenovelas, so I cannot comment on that, I just saw your headline and the misspelling struck me, no offense though

Monpiri, don get me wrong I have nothing against Colombian actors or productions as a matter of fact I am Colombian, is just that I have been living here in the U.S for so much time I lost track of Colombian tv, I saw Betty la Fea in Telemundo just because it was Colombian and it was funny too I usually do not watch telebobelas either, that same Betty la Fea was renamed as La Fea mas Bella and aired in Mexico was produced by Televisa and in U.S was aired by Univision, it was nothing compared to the original but in Mexico they loved it, and there are plenty on Colombia actors working here in Miami one of the is Marisol Correa she is working on a channel called AmericaTv.

Monpirri,

Monpirri - Very good question BTW. No access to this made many problems in my home at one time. Was very disappointed when we found it was Mexican based....had to look at a pouty face for months ;((

Catgirl, yeap and there is too much of that stuff going on and it's obvious they have NO to respect to the rest of the Latin community or about 250 millions in the USA.

Monpirri says on Jul 2, 2008, 05:25:
