Police Seize 853 Kilos of Cocaine in the Kuna Yala

By MIGDALIA GRINARD for La Prensa - Last weekend the Panamanian National Police seized 853 kilos of cocaine and arrested five Colombians in the coastal area of the Kuna Yala. The drugs were camouflaged in 37 large black and white packages and were discovered based on a tip provided to the police officers of the National Border, according to the Anti Drug Prosecutor in Colon Javier Caraballo. The drugs were taken to Fort Sherman.

DROGA. La confiscación de 853 kilos de cocaína y la retención de cinco ciudadanos de nacionalidad colombiana, lograron las autoridades antidroga el pasado fin de semana en la costa de la comarca de Kuna Yala. La droga estaba camuflada en 37 bultos de color blanco y negro dentro de dos embarcaciones que también fueron decomisadas, tras información recibida por la Policía Nacional de Frontera, explicó el fiscal de drogas en Colón y Kuna Yala, Javier Caraballo. La droga fue trasladada al sector de Sherman.
