You have a total of 6 people flying to Bogota for 2 - 4 weeks and non of you have the money to live in a hotel to take care of yourself?

You should get a refund for your 6 tickets during peak season and give the money to a local Bogota Christian charity, so you do not waste God's money! Since each ticket will probably cost at least $500, that means you will be spending $3000 when people are happy just to get $100 a week. Your airline tickets could pay a pastor already in Bogota 30 weeks or more than 7 months of ministering to the needs of the people there.

You could ask for 1 or 2 tickets to be refunded and then go and use the money for your housing if you think you are better working with Colombians than Colombians!

Previously, I estimated the ticket cost was just $500 each, but I read a previous post and discovered the costs are much higher!

I think Greg makes a good point, and you are being rather rude in responding.

Bang for buck matters, and as exotic and adventurous as Bogota might seem (thanks Hollywood), the city is hardly "unreached" (or undeveloped). Non-Catholic denominations have become visibly established in the Bogota and there are many local Christians of different denominations who already know the ropes about evangelizing & missionarying to their countryfolk.

If you want to visit just say so, it's a fascinating and very historical city.

The fact is buddy, you don't have a clue! Especially when it comes

As for me, I will do what Jesus commands, to go into all the world

willing to work very hard to earn the money needed to do this.
There are plenty of hypocrites (like yourself) willing to through
there money to some charity to collect the good feelings!
