Please don´t make dirty Medellín´s name

Medellín is a beautiful city and a good city for living or visit.

Please don´t pay attention to the people whom got a lot of free time to waste making ugly comments about the city

Well, I HAVE to say I've heard that Medellín is more susceptible to terrorist/criminal attacks than other cities. And I didn't hear it from some scaremongerers either but from actual Colombianos and from those trying to combat the negative propaganda about Colombia. I know a lot of the stories are idiotic exaggerations but when you hear this from objective sources, then you do start to wonder...

Surely you aren't suggesting that Greg is an imposter poster and that his Mommy is now making him eat his dinner instead of letting him play on the internet all day? He is going to be really mad when he reads this thread. Does your novio have a Mitsubishi 2000 SUV?

really... I really think in these times every city in the world is susceptible to terrorist attacks, Medellín was some years ago but now everything is quiet here.

Hey, Paisa29? Am I married to you? Do you look like Monica Belluci? This is exactly what my wife would say. Assuming that I had a wife. Or that I could understand what she was saying. Because as we all know, I can't. Unless of course, she's inflatable. And that's for my compressor to know and you to find out.

I Agree
I agree with Paisa29 that Medellin is a wonderful place to visit or live. The climate, the friendly people, many things to see and do, but most of all the lovely and beautiful Paisas.

Oh, Pablo, Greg's going to bust a nut when he reads your post. First you taunt him with the Mazda, now this!

about medellin............ i love medellin...medellin and so many of her surrounds. i travelled a lot and for so many years, los angeles was it. nothing like it, beautiful beaches, people, homes, businesses, climate, ad nauseum. then i finally had a go at medellin--presidential election time, 1989--and even with the incredible chaos and mehem then, i was in love, my city, i could go, do, be, experience, anything in life, and live to tell about it. and truly, it was the wild west...and not six shooters, but fifty shooters. everyday/night, any time, a bombing, a shooting, a robbery, whew!, it was wilder than i could have ever imagined, but irrestibly incredible, magnificent, alluring, and more.

every day, brought something new, alarming, scarry, yet seductive, irrestible. and i DID buy into it; i was 'rich', could afford to do anything i wanted, had tons of employees and servants, could hire helicopters, go to lunch in the pueblos and a moments notice...eat at la truch with my secretary or whoever and in the speed of a helicopter going from metro airport to the airport (rio negro). GOD! it was great!

well, these many years later, fifteen or so, and she's changed so much, she's not so much different, but more settled. still wild, but the best part of crazy i know. and if i do say so myself, i've seen and done much. i really do love you, medellin, and i thank you with all my heart for all you've brought me and all i've learned in your embrace. truly, from my heart, thank you.

now, back to the thread, i know i'm guilty of pointing out, many times the dangers and cautions necessary there, they were in no way intended to deface or belittle her; rather, to better prepare and arm--if necessary--her visitors and suitors. because she is so worth the visit, the living and the enjoying....go, enjoy her, see why so many of us tell of her so-sweet secrets and treats. see why we all want to go back and maybe live forever.

do any of you remember the play, TEA AND SYMPATHY? and the line, "... if when you're older, and you speak of this--and you will--be kind."

so, on that note, speak nicely of the lady; especially since that's how she treats you.
