Hi everyone...
I will be living in Bogotá for about a year doing¨"field" as well as archival research (i´m an anthropologist). I am currently living with relatives, but would like to find a furnished apartment (or a room, which i prefer) at some point in the near future. I´ve posted in the classifieds and have looked on this site as well, but would appreciate any suggestions you all may have. I´m looking for something near el Virrey, Chapinero Alto -- in an around that area so that I can easily get to the Luis Angel and my family in Salitre. I´ve looked in and around Ciudad Salitre, but haven´t found anything furnished, aside from the aparthotels. I can pay up to 800,000 (maybe a bit more if absolutely necessary) but would ideally like to pay less as my research budget isn´t padded as nicely as i would like it to be.
Thanks!

You will have all the info you need if you go to the upper right hand corner of this site and "Google" this question, you will get more info than you can imagine. I am 100% sure of what I am saying. Good luck

I saw my friends and it has a fire place and was once the stables for a big housiena old style wooden furniture. There were about 6 houses in the one that I saw all around a little garden cortyard with flowers ect and all the places were rented by foriegners living in bogota for work or uni, so a bit of instant social contacts. Its in the 500,000 range and I really liked them. Just big enough for one though. And in La candeleria.

Rubiazo says on Aug 30, 2005, 18:56: Chapinero is my favorite out of all the places I´ve seen here. It´s nice, close to everything, and packed with restaurants bars and shopping. It´s also very conveniently located for getting to other neighborhoods. There are two sides to it, the slightly less accessible but really nice Chapinero Alto east of carrera 7 and the Chapinero Bajo west of it. The one drag about Chapinero bajo is the air can get bad at rush hour.
