Which kind? Spousal visa, or fiancee visa?

Provide anything... that will "prove" the relationship. Better too much than not enough.

Show up at the embassy For the USCIS part of it, you have to provide proof that you have met in person: pictures, plane tickets, hotel receipts. For the embassy part of it, you can do the same thing but I think it's better if you just show up with her. That's what I'm going to do. ;-)

very important I was told by an inmigration lawyer and also by some other couples that are going through the same process that pictures are very very important.

As much pictures as you can, and also if you can have some of them showing a representative area of wherever you met that would be very helpful.

Another advice somebody gave us is to take a picture of you together with a newspaper (showing the date) so you can proof those pics were taken whitin the last 2 years.

Good luck!

Personally I brought one photo taken in front of a famous landmark and made sure it was dated from the photo processor. I had lots of others as back ups.

time/date stamps many cameras allow for adding time and date stamps to the photos ... very ugly ... mix them with a few photos showing actual date somehow, like a newspaper.

I was referring to the processing Date that some processer put on the back of the photo...You can set a time date camera to date that you choose. It is just one part of the mix and won't make or breal you in and of itself...
