Moderator Note: Disturbing Image alert.

ColombianoGringo says on Jan 22, 2008, 13:49:

I hate to complain, but I think that displaying this image is in extremely bad taste. When I saw the title, I thought it meant a pic of her when she was alive. I think it is unnecessarily grotesque and disrespectful to post a pic like that .

At least please label the title more clearly to identify this as the pic of a corpse or simply provide a link so those who are interested can view the image.

Robert Jorge says on Jan 22, 2008, 14:37:

Interesting date stamp. This was supposed to have happened 2 or 3 days ago?

Frank Rizzo says on Jan 22, 2008, 14:47:

I added the caution that you suggest CG (point well taken, my apology).......obviously this was just taken by a digital camera of qhubo. I agree it's disturbing and only posted the link because it's just a pic of a newspaper photo.

Also RJ, The camera just has not been reset with the correct date. That was taken of today's qhubo newspaper in Cali.

ColombianoGringo says on Jan 22, 2008, 14:57:

Thank you Frank. It's nice to see that some folks around here can take a suggestion without taking it personally.

BTW, is that name from the Jerky Boys?

Peace,
CG

Frank Rizzo says on Jan 22, 2008, 20:01:

Yep, CG....loved those guys....still got their CD's for certain days....

I'll be more careful before posting something like that again...it's a horrible deal...no question.

jorgegdiaz says on Jan 23, 2008, 05:23:

I`m sure the pic was taken from a sensasionalist publication like VEA or something like that

Man with hole in pocket feel cocky all day.

john_stark says on Jan 23, 2008, 06:08:

They love this stuff in Mexico too. Can't get enough photos of corpses and blood.

ColombianoGringo says on Jan 23, 2008, 07:33:

"loved those guys"

All right there fruitcake.

guacharaca says on Jan 23, 2008, 08:52:

Wow! You guys are too used to North American news. Always looking at the world through rose colored glasses. Seeing an occasional corpse is good such that it builds character and reminds one of the realities, and the value, of life. I work in a hospital so I see blood and corpses every single day. However, I also get to see the occasional new born too.
Most Asian countries also do not try to hide these realities in their news broadcasts.

slguy says on Jan 23, 2008, 09:06:

How in hell does seeing a murdered corpse "build character"??????

A very odd viewpoint on character.

Before you throw me out, make sure I pay my bar tab

Anybody here ever read El Caleño?

haaaaha it's true! jeez, if that's character building, umm, well i don't want anymore character (excuse the lack of witty response).

Seriously though, that sorta thing is just desensitizing.

kalder says on Jan 23, 2008, 11:35:

The worst thing I ever saw was a woman killed in a hit and run. The corpse itself was one thing; the grief of the kid with her was awful, devastating. Christ, what that murdered woman's kids must be going through.

"kalder- have you ever had a woman?"--Sam Salmon

guacharaca says on Jan 23, 2008, 13:56:

It is interesting that we vote for a war monger that sends troops out into foreign countries to "neutralize the enemy", yet we are so afraid to see a corpse ourselves. Perhaps if we see a corpse and "build some character", we would make better decisions in life. I guess it is the same reason that many can not eat a fish that still has its head attached. We want to hide from reality. For some reason, a billion communist Chinese do not have a problem with eating a fish with its head attached, or viewing a photo of a corpse.
Now what I am curious about is why did the Colombian news bring up the fact that the victim had cosmetic surgery in the past? Is that somehow related?

ColombianoGringo says on Jan 23, 2008, 14:47:

"It is not about hiding. It is about respect."

My thoughts exactly.

ColombianoGringo says on Jan 23, 2008, 14:48:

"It is interesting that we vote for a war monger"

Speak for yourself. I have never voted for Bush and have always been against the illegal war in Iraq.

manINred says on Jan 23, 2008, 15:08:

" I have seen enough dead people in my day to know what they look like. The fact is you become numb to it after a while and if you think that is a good thing then your more f^cked up then you think."

Exactly!!! Precisely the desensitizing effect that I was talking about. Definitely a bad thing.

john_stark says on Jan 23, 2008, 19:51:

We have to look at something much worse than bloody corpses. Crotch shots of Britney Spears sans panties. That was one beaver shot I wished that I had passed up but I had to look.

Robert Jorge says on Jan 23, 2008, 21:57:

Well said GIB.

And JS, I also had the misfortune of seeing the Britney getting out of the car crotch shot. It looked like somebody had dropped a belt sander running in her lap.

Robert Jorge says on Jan 23, 2008, 22:42:

Actually Mitch, I would love to participate in your post. But I don't have any pics to post outside of family.

Robert Jorge says on Jan 23, 2008, 22:47:

Frank, I know - but a multi-millionairess with access to the world's finest skin therapy, and she's got zits and ingrown hairs on her cooter? That's just wrong. And if she has a skin problem on her camel toe area, she should cover that shit up. J.M.O. But, who knows? Maybe she was prescribed by her dermatologist to let it breath.

Frank Rizzo says on Jan 23, 2008, 22:57:

jajjaajajjaaaj....now that is funny RJ.... worth 250MM $$ and knocking down 700k$ per month. She can be striped and still get any guy.

jajjjajajaj...still laughing at your post.
