Peter, please do something

I'm not going to name his name and fuel the fire, but a certain recent member has gone hog-wild creating topics unrelated to anything relevant, posting 100-line diatribes in topics where they don't belong, posting as multiple different people under different logins AND making personal ad-hominum attacks.

It's reached the point where it's actually degrading the quality of the board. Is there anything you can do to fix this?

I'm going to go away for a few days. I hope that when I get back the problem is better.

Same here I agree. I love the board but lately there's been a lot of noise that makes it unenjoyable here by the schizo antagonist. I want to stay and talk but I'm thinking of heading until it's cleaned up here.

Me, too.. the payasito is wearing me down with his crappy little
manifestos which are meaningless and tiresome. Un tipo
con tornillo flojo (I learned that here, hehehehe).

I agree....but there were dozens of posts here fighting to keep certain individual from being banned. Let's face it, many here encouraged his behaviour.....

I wished he would of been banned by his 3rd ridiculous post. Now, it is just way out of hand, and any handle from his IP address should be blocked.

Even I had posted less everyday 'cuz of his posts.

caslug says on Dec 6, 2004, 17:20:

at least... make him post revelant posting to the post he replies to. Now, he throws stuff that is not even close to the subject matter and just clogs stuff up.

Atrevido says on Dec 6, 2004, 17:25:

Must have not read something. Caslug are you talking about the I-talian?

caslug says on Dec 6, 2004, 17:35:

I don't think we want to.. mention his name, no sense giving him undue publicity.

Email me. I am not sure who you're referring to, and I don't always have time to monitor all the threads.

Poor but snappy

I apologize. I as a newbie did not know better, so I am one who asked to keep the goof around. So sorry!

Peter (Moderator) says on Dec 6, 2004, 18:36:

By the way, I am currently evaluating a variety of approaches to this (and similar) problem(s). Keep me posted on what goes wrong on the forum :)

Peter, what about.. the uploading foto problem some us encounter. I post the error message in the post on fotos.

Save the Wildcats says on Dec 6, 2004, 18:39:

Peter.. it's a wonderful forum. Thanks for all of your hard work.

uploading photos yes, mine are jpeg - I tried multiple times to upload just one, and it told me that my photo was too big of a file???? Thanks again for the forum - I love it............g

Peter (Moderator) says on Dec 6, 2004, 18:50:

OK, so I am planning a series of things to make this forum better. First (because it was easy): now, when you click on a users name, you don't just see how long they've been a member, but also a list of all the posts they've made, so you can get a good feel of what kind of things they post. It doesn't list the comments they've made. More to come. Let me know if you think that is useful.

Italian I'm really sorry if it bothered some people that I was writing in Italian, I didn't think other people would mind as long as it wasn't all the time, and I thought it might be a good way to find out why zagarise was putting all these big long messages all the time for no reason. Sorry if it bothers anyone - I know that this is an English forum, and sometimes we use Spanish, and so I didn't really think it would be a problem if we used Italian if it wasn't for too long, especially since we were talking about Colombia.

If you click on my name Peter, or anyone else, you will see that I have been a member for a long time, and have not caused problems. I speak Italian, French, Spanish and English, and I like to practise them from time to time, and I also thought this being an international forum that other languages would be accepted. However, I'll stick to English if I'm told I have to.

Peace and love guys!!!

Lionheart says on Dec 6, 2004, 23:33:

ShazCas You didn't read all the comments about z. We all doubt it is Italian, plus there were posts as iraqi and colombiano with its signature language. Its vocabulary was too large for the bad grammar, which prompted the thought of it using a web translator.

As you saw, it did not respond to your post, nor did it respond to my reference to Mussolini ... it is not Italian. I have been to Italy often and know Italians .. I would have been mixed with donkey meat for a very fine salami.

Yes elmo ... the best salami is made with donkey meat ... no silly ideas now with NY salamis you see ...

ShazCas says on Dec 7, 2004, 09:39:

I see what you mean God yeah, I hadn't read his posts, and I see what you all mean, he is a little insane!

I think he is Italian, as he had a perfectly normal conversation with me in Italian, and he's either Italian or has native-speaker Italian. I studied Italian for 4 years, so I'm not an expert, but have a pretty good idea.

Anyway, no more chatting on this topic for me, don't want to encourage anything!
