Pereira

Just arrived from Pereira. Had the best time of my life. I'm from NYC, and Pereira was a change of pace from the hectic lifestyle of where I'm from. The women are beautiful and very friendly. Everyone was friendly and very courteous. I'm heading back in May 2005. Pereira is the best if you're a single man.

Great! Please tell us about it. Speak with no shame from a perspective of a single guy. Have you ever been to another colombian city? If so, can you compare? How is the nightlife? Did you know anyone before going to Pereira? How is the environment like in terms of people's attitude? How open are the single ladies? How welcoming are they to the advances of a single man? By the way, are you a gringo? Did you at any time feel unsafe? Tell us a little story from down there it will be appreciated by all.

TIA

Angel

My Apologies In Advance... A friend of mine is from Pereira and told me that the women there are notorious for their promiscuity and told me this joke about them:

The women of Pereira are mostly deaf... when you ask them to sit down, they lie down.

I think something was lost in the translation, but I'll find out for myself in a few weeks...

Clubs/Bars closing Early? Really? Even on a Friday or Saturday night? Are you 100% sure?

What else can you elaborate about Pereira?
What's one of the most happening nightspots that you can remember?

TIA

Pereira My perspective of a single guy in Pereira. I'm a single man from NYC and what I can say about the women in Pereira is that they're very friendly but you need to initiate the conversation. I checked out several clubs in the area close to the hotel melia, which was one of the best hotels that I've been too compare any of the hotels here in NYC. The peoples attitude in Pereira were very positive and friendly. By the way I'm not a "Gringo" (American Cowboy). I speak spanish fluently (Puerto Rican). Which I never had any problems communicating with the locals. And by the way, I have 2 female friends waiting for my return trip to Pereira, GOT IT????

Pereira "Suca Bar" which is located across the street from Hotel Melia. There are other good bars & clubs close to the hotel, but don't wander out too far. I felt nervous going all the way out of the city.
