Now I'm been in Coombia for my 4th vacation here. I came 4 weeks ago and I have one more to go. It feels sad to go back to cold Sweden, but I've got a job in Pereira now for one year. It's a big college between Pereira and Cartago right out in the bush - no disturbing traffic - just the sound of the cikadas, birds,, the river and the 500 children of course. It's a private school so the pay me pretty well. Last friday I passed the Michigan test so I can have some other options too during the evenings and weekends. In Sweden I work as a teatcher too so I already have my basic education..
Right now I'm in Medellin, because "La Feria de Las flores" but next week I'll go back to Pereira for searching a possible appartment next year. Not too expensive, and not too cheap, but in a good area with good security. Can anyone here at the forum give me an advice where I shall search?
Thanks in advance.

An apartment would set you back about 400 / 500,000 a month depending on number of rooms etc. La padera has good restaurants, Gyms etc ( infact I hope to open up a gym in the area very soon - you´d be very welcome.) Cincumbalar is a more upmarket place. More expensive as a result. I dont know what you are being paid but I guess it all depends on how you want to live. Although I must say the life in La pradera is busier albeit relaxed. Cuba is a very hectic place. I am guessing you wont be very comfortable there - from my experience. Pereira town centre is hectic too and you do get some strange people hanging around like is most major town centres in the world. Try La pradera - best bet.
