People from the U.K. resident in Barranquilla?

Hi,
I would be interested to hear from any U.K. citizens living in Barranquilla,Atlantico.
My wife is from that city and we will be visiting there again shortly.
Our future retirement plans are to spend perhaps 9 months of the year living in Barranquilla and the remaining time in England.
I love Colombia,but only having visited as a tourist I wonder if my impressions would change once the 24/7 routine set in.
Could anyone perhaps give some information on living costs,security,health insurance,etc
I would be grateful for any advice.

My wife is from Barranquilla and therefore very familiar with the place,its customs,good points and bad.My limited knowledge of espanol makes it difficult for me to ask the pertinent questions and understand the answers.That is why I would like to hear from another geezer with some experience of living in the cuidad.
