Peñol / Guatape

I just returned from my first trip to Medellin. I spent one day at Peñol / Guatape and loved it. Does anyone know anything about fishing in the lake? I noticed people selling what looked like carp and a large perch on the roadside when returning to Medellin. I've heard somewhere there are bass in the lake. Any truth to that?

Thanks everyone. Looks like I'll try to take some fishing gear on my next trip. I was there on a Sunday and the place was overrun by turistas...like me. I don't know that I've ever seen a prettier lake....and I've seen some lakes. Now, if I can only learn to speak Spanish....Aqui, pezzy, pezzy?
