¿películas de Colombia?

Are there any good Colombian movies out there? I guess they don't really have to be good. Just anything from Colombia, that would help me learn Colombian spanish, would work. I've seen Rodrigo D: No futuro, and La vendedora de rosas. Any others?

You also have one of the all-time Colombian favorites "La Virgen de Los Sicarios". You'll be "dying" to go to Medellin after you watch it.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

In the theaters now is a movie called La Mujer de Mi Hermano. Not sure if it is set in Colombia, but it is a colombian director. Also Maria Full of Grace is set in Colombia and NY. La Virgen de Los Sicarios is awful if you ask me, skip that one. UC is being sarcastic, I'm pretty sure.

Jajaja Thanks, all. I'm sure those are really great recommendations - unfortunately, I was only able to find "La Virgen de Los Sicarios," and it really doesn't look that good. Too bad, "Donde estan mis Pantalones" sounds like my kinda movie.

La Mujer de mi Hermano Would be considered by most a Mexican film. It's set in Mexico, and the actors speak Mexican Spanish... not a bad film.

I'll second La Estratagia de Caracol and Maria Llena de Gracia.

And add "Perder es Cuestion de Methodo" for my favorite Colombian picture.

Looking forward to reading others' recommendations.

I saw a movie about 6 months ago, that was set in Medellin, the story line was about a some business men who decide to make a little side money by investing in the cocaine business. It was super violent but had quite a few funny scenes, they must have said "marica" a thousand times in the movie. Does this ring a bell with anyone? I can not remember the name for the life of me.

Hey, careful, man, there's a beverage here!
