Sounds like a Black Op orchestrated by Fat Fanny at the DAS. She doesn't want her superiors to read about her on PBH.

Robi..............you are the only person that cannot acess PBH ............do you not get the hint..??

I had some problems this morning with the Internet in Santa Mónica. But I got on around 5:00 am.

robi666 says on May 5, 2008, 11:32:

Still experiencing the same problem while posting this... must be a subnet problem in Poblado then...
It is pretty weird,Roci.
No problem with Amazon, or Google, ot El Tiempo, or Apple. Just with Poorbuthappy.
I tried different computers, different browsers.
Actually, I can get some bytes before getting the Server no Responding message.

I can get thru using a remote proxy. Like now.

Must be a router misconfiguration somewhere.

It should be something between

webmanco says on May 5, 2008, 11:45:

It could be UNE´s dns at fault if so, you migth not be accessing a few other websites, try using DNS´s from different providers.

But, I'm going to start making some assumptions here.... Which means I might actually end up making an ass out of myself ..........Thu 04 17, 2008 11:34 am

Yes... could be, Web.

$ nslookup www.poorbuthappy.com
Server: 200.13.249.101
Address: 200.13.249.101#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: www.poorbuthappy.com
Address: 64.13.232.215

Check it for me? Thanks...

robi666 says on May 5, 2008, 11:51:

Getting some bytes... it is more likely a routing table problem on some of the router in beween...

Ray, I don't have the years to explain to you this all, but I would have to try from your computer... can you give your password once again?

Was having problems for websites out of Colombia with UNE over the weekend..but websites with .co no problem....... I was watching the hockey game Sunday with NHL Center Ice and was going in and out...but then checked with local .com.co sites and they were fine..I think it has to do with websites outside of Colombia...

I've been trying all day to access a site...........driving me nuts............anyone have any suggestions for a non techy................

webmanco says on May 5, 2008, 16:00:

You all need to give it a try by changing the DNS servers from UNE´s to any other provider working fine

Here are ETB

200.75.31.132
200.75.31.133

Just to test it find anyone in Medellín whose provider is not UNE if PBH loads fine then the problem is Une´s DNS, I wonder who provides Paleolitico internet?

RAAAY says on May 5, 2008, 16:20:

I have EPM....no problems with PBH..........but a site I have been trying to access all day is coming up " Internet explorer cannot display the webpage ".

The site owner tells me they are having no problems at their end.........

Anything I can do ?

.........Its useless to argue with ignorance

robi666 says on May 5, 2008, 16:29:

No Webmanco, it is not a DNS problem. DNS works fine, as you can see from my nslookup command.

Actually, I tried a reverse lookup and discovered that PBH is hosted at the same provider as
1moredvd.com
49slash.com
5quickquestions.com
under the same IP address.

Now, I cannot access properly none of those server (withouth using a remote proxy).
I have no problem wiht others website hosted in California.

So, I'd think that it is definitely a routing table problem on one of the router of UNE.

If the problem persist, I will try to call them in the morning... but how to explain the problem to a sheep head of the Call Center?

robi666 says on May 5, 2008, 16:30:

Actuallly, it is weird enough.
PBH is 64.13.232.215. Now I cannot access any web server with that address.

Under 64.13.232.214 there are a bunch of web server like
Abamps.com
Aeono.com
Africanschoolsproject.com

Well, I can access them perfectly! Weird...

1percentbaby.com
A1moneymortgage.com
Acipartsplus.com
are on 64.13.232.216.

I can access them perfectly...

Ray, you could try a different browser. There is one site that I usually cannot get with Firefox, but it usually comes in with Safari. I almost never use IE.

RAAAY says on May 5, 2008, 16:56:

Thanks Tom............I will try downloading Firefox and see if I can get it to work from there.

robi666 says on May 7, 2008, 15:00:

The problem mysteriously disappeared this afternoon.
I checked it and the "traceroute" command does not show different paths anymore for PBH's IP and neighboring sites' IPs, like it was in the last days.

A network manager knows that the only way to give different routing to TCP packet coming and going to the same subnet, it is to appositely insert a rule for a specific address into a routing table of a router.

Strange... it is like if someone temporary diverted the traffic from and to PBH to monitor it...
call me paranoid...

Well........after reading what you just wrote............I tried to acess the site that I have been unable to get onto.............guess what...............now I can get on to it.........

Seriously.

Add that to your paronia.

RAAAY says on May 7, 2008, 22:34:

I have'nt heard anything of him.

Mike told me a story earlier. Apparently some American was sitting in the Crepes & Waffle in Ovedio today. He had two girls with him. Two guys walked up to their table, told the American to get out. Apparently he was a little taken aback and thought they were joking. One of them lifted up his shirt a little and exposed a pistol. The American threw a 50 on the table and left sharply.

Mike waited long enough to witness the two guys lecturing the girls.

Yes, Medellin...
they do not do that stuff to gringos in Bogotà. Bad guys are too afraid to be killed with bare hands and thrown in acid.

Unfortunately....even stories don't scare off the sex tourists..... i'll tell you what does. The lawer gringo that got the business driving from the airport in cali last year.

Some, "lawer gringo" guy ran a "marriage agency"...yeeeaaahhhh,...anyway..from the El Pais report.. two malandros gave him the hucklebuck on his drive home from the airport. Cali doesn't have too many gringos thank god and baby jesus. Bunch of freaks, usually.
